Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 15, 2026
ApplyBoldly LLC provides career coaching and job-search productivity software. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use our websites, applications, and related services.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect from or about individual users of the ApplyBoldly services. It does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services that are not controlled by ApplyBoldly, or to information that has been de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to you.
2. Personal Information We Collect
When you create an account, use the services, or contact us, you may provide account information, profile and planning information, career materials, billing and transaction information, support messages, feedback, and privacy-rights request information.
Information You Provide Directly
- Career materials and workflow content may include resumes, deep dives, job descriptions, opportunity records, company research, interviewer information, interview notes, chats, prompts, cover letters, study guides, generated documents, and related attachments or text.
- Billing and transaction information may include subscription plan selections, billing state, renewal timing, and transaction history; payment card details are generally processed by our payment processor rather than stored directly by us.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device and log information may include IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, timestamps, referring URLs, crash or diagnostic data, and approximate location inferred from IP address.
- Usage information may include pages viewed, features used, workflow activity, model-invocation metadata, high-level product telemetry, and cookie or session information.
- Analytics and advertising measurement information may include page views, referral or source data, campaign parameters, UTM parameters, ad click identifiers, pseudonymous analytics identifiers, and high-level conversion events.
Information From Other Sources
We may receive information from providers that help us operate the services, such as authentication, hosting, database, payment, email, analytics, advertising measurement, logging, error-monitoring, AI, and document-processing providers.
3. How We Use Personal Information
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
- Provide product features, including AI-assisted chat, drafting, summaries, writing suggestions, and job-search organization tools.
- Store and organize your documents, opportunities, notes, and workflow data.
- Process purchases, renewals, cancellations, and subscription-state changes.
- Measure site and app traffic, understand marketing campaign performance, and attribute signups, onboarding progress, first use of key product features, trial or paid conversions, cancellations, and other high-level conversion events.
- Send transactional messages, respond to support or privacy requests, troubleshoot bugs, monitor performance, investigate incidents, improve reliability, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and protect ApplyBoldly, our users, and others.
We may also create aggregated or de-identified information and use it for analytics, service improvement, and other lawful purposes.
4. AI Features and Model Processing
Some ApplyBoldly features rely on artificial intelligence and third-party model providers. When you use AI-powered features, relevant portions of your prompts, documents, notes, and other submitted materials may be sent to third-party providers that process that information on our behalf to generate responses, summaries, drafts, or other outputs for you.
You remain responsible for the information you upload to the services and for reviewing generated output before relying on it or sharing it. We may also review content, logs, and output quality signals internally to troubleshoot issues, improve prompts and workflows, investigate misuse, and maintain or improve the services.
5. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that help us operate the services, including providers of hosting, infrastructure, databases, authentication, payment processing, subscription billing, email delivery, customer communications, analytics, advertising measurement, logging, error monitoring, document processing, and AI model services.
We may also disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, detect or prevent fraud or abuse, protect rights and safety, complete a business transfer, or act at your direction, such as when you export data or share generated materials.
We do not publish your private resumes, chats, notes, or other in-app career materials for other users by default.
6. Analytics, Advertising Measurement, Cookies, and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, and may use analytics and advertising measurement providers such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Reddit Ads, and similar platforms when enabled.
- Cookies may help keep you signed in, maintain session continuity and account security, remember preferences, and diagnose technical issues.
- Measurement tools may help us understand how visitors arrive at the services, which campaigns or sources are associated with signups or subscriptions, and whether high-level lifecycle events occur.
- Measurement data may include device and log information, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location inferred from IP address, campaign parameters, UTM values, ad click identifiers, cookie or pseudonymous analytics identifiers, event names, and event timestamps.
We do not send the contents of your resumes, prompts, chats, cover letters, study guides, generated documents, uploaded career materials, notes, or attachments to analytics or advertising measurement tools for these purposes.
Analytics and advertising measurement providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies, subject to the settings and contractual restrictions we apply where available. You can control cookies through your browser settings and may use available privacy or advertising controls offered by your device, browser, or the relevant advertising platform.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the services. Retention may vary by data category.
- Active account and workflow data is generally retained while your account remains active and the information is needed to provide the services.
- Lapsed read-only workflow data may be retained for a limited period to allow export, review, reactivation, or transition to Maintenance mode, and may then be deleted under the current product rules.
- Billing, transaction, security, support, privacy-rights request, compliance, and similar records may be retained when needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal obligations, or documenting request handling.
- If you submit an account deletion request and it is processed, we may delete or irreversibly anonymize a broad set of account-linked data, subject to data we must retain for legal, security, accounting, or operational reasons.
8. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and the nature of your request, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or limit certain processing of your personal information.
- Request export of your stored account and workflow data.
- Request deletion of your account.
- Review privacy request status history.
- Control certain cookies through your browser, device, or platform privacy settings.
Signed-in users can manage requests from the in-app privacy rights page. You may also contact us at support@applyboldly.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. International Processing
ApplyBoldly is based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries where our vendors or infrastructure providers operate. Where required, we rely on legally appropriate transfer mechanisms for cross-border transfers of personal information.
10. Children
The services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly permit children under 18 to create accounts for the services.
11. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
